The people of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church are gathered together as one in order to share the love and care of God with the people surrounding us.
St. Michael’s is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, the second largest Lutheran body in North America. The word “synod” means “walking together,” and as a member of the Missouri Synod (LCMS), St. Michael’s walks together in ministry partnership with more than 6,000 congregations across the United States and over twenty-five Lutheran church bodies around the world.
St. Michael’s believes, teaches and confesses to be true that people are brought into eternal relationship with God by grace alone, through faith alone and this truth is based on Scripture alone.
- Grace Alone : God loves the people of the world, all people, even though we are sinful and do not desire His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.
- Faith Alone: By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life. Those who hear this good news and believe it have the eternal life it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.
- Scripture Alone: The Bible is God’s true and trustworthy word. It alone is the standard and guide for Christian teaching and practice.
The people of St. Michael’s welcome all through our doors – no matter who you are, what you are and what you have done. God in Jesus loves you and so do we!
